What PeriCode stores and shares

Here is where PeriCode sends and stores data. See Privacy & permissions for tool settings. Your provider's own policies explain how it handles AI requests.

AI requests and connected services

Your requests, relevant conversation history, attachments and tool results go to the model server you choose. Signing in contacts that provider. Claude Code and Grok Build use their own apps to handle accounts and requests. A model running on your own machine can keep these requests local.

MCP servers and configured administrator policy addresses may also make network requests. PeriCode does not send plugin usage telemetry or contact a licensing service. Other plugins and connected programs have their own behavior.

Files on your device

  • Settings and API keys: stored in the plugin's data.json without encryption by PeriCode.
  • Conversations, tool history and drafts: stored unencrypted in <vault>/.pericode/conversations/sessions.json. Memory and audit files also live beneath .pericode.
  • Provider authentication: may use account files outside the vault. Provider apps can also keep their own history and logs.
  • Runtime files: temporary prompts and recovery records may be written outside the vault. Temporary Claude system prompt files are removed when a request finishes.

These files may contain sensitive content. Anyone with access to them, including through other plugins, vault sync or backups, may be able to read them. PeriCode's permission settings do not encrypt these files or isolate them from other programs.

Removing data

You can delete a saved conversation from the chat menu. Separate audit records, copies held by providers, sync history and backups remain. Uninstalling PeriCode does not delete data held by your AI provider.

Use the plugin's artifact removal options to review generated folders before deleting them. Settings and provider account files are managed separately. To sign out, revoke access or request deletion of provider data, use that provider's account controls.

This website

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes the web requests needed to serve it. Visiting the site does not upload your vault. Downloads are hosted on GitHub.
